A video message to the gathered was sent by its rector, academician A. B. Torkunov. He noted the good traditions of agriculture at MGIMO, reminding that more than 500 Czech and Slovak students graduated from this university at different times. He emphasized the importance of preserving Russian-Czech educational and interpersonal contacts.

Guests were also shown a new Russian documentary by directors D. Khristaleva and E. Kozhakinoy “Thank you, dear! », which premiered on December 8, 2023 in the framework of the international exhibition-forum “Russia”. The film, through a kaleidoscope of human stories telling about the modern development of our country, received a lively response from Czech viewers.

The event continued with a route, during which in a warm and informal atmosphere graduates of MGIMO could share memories of years spent at the famous Moscow university and old friends.

Ambassador of Russia to Czech Republic A. B. Zmeevsky thanked the participants of the meeting for preserving the present MGIMO spirit of comradery, despite the years and distances. Congratulated those present on the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays and wished them health and prosperity.
