The skis aren’t working anymore. Cross-country skis are the least bought

The ski equipment market in the Czech Republic is facing a decline in demand as the prices of skis have increased by 20% year-on-year, according to statistics. Before the winter season, downhill skis with bindings were sold for an average of CZK 8,800.

However, those who are now looking to buy ski equipment can find significant discounts in shops and online stores due to weaker demand. According to a data analyst at Seznam.cz, there has been a drop in interest for ski equipment on their website in December.

The decline in demand is due to a variety of factors such as the lack of snow and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as an increase in cost of materials and energy. Additionally, Czechs are starting to save on sports equipment and other leftover goods, as retail sales statistics have shown for several months.
