On the occasion of the 209th Independence Day of the Argentine Republic, His Excellency Mr. Claudio Javier Rosencwaig, Ambassador of Argentina to the Czech Republic, hosted a formal reception on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the elegant Hotel “The Julius” in Prague.

Many ambassadors, Argentinian natives, personalities of cultural, business and political life followed the invitation of the Argentinian ambassador to celebrate this occasion together.

The event commenced with official speeches highlighting the long-standing and friendly relations between Argentina and the Czech Republic.

After His Excellency Mr. Claudio Javier Rosencwaig, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Eduard Hulicius and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. David Müller addressed the audience, underlining the importance of economic, cultural, and political cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on collaboration in the fields of renewable energy, technology, and the growing bilateral trade.

Following the formal part of the evening, guests were treated to a captivating tango performance that brought the spirit of Buenos Aires to life. The artistic interlude was met with enthusiastic applause.

Culinary delights added to the festive atmosphere.

Traditional Argentine specialties, including freshly made empanadas, were served alongside a selection of outstanding Argentine wines, offering a genuine taste of the country’s rich gastronomic heritage.

The reception not only celebrated Argentina’s national day, but also provided an excellent opportunity for diplomatic, business, and cultural exchange among attendees from the Czech and international communities in Prague.
