Czech Hydrometeorological Institute Forecasts Cooler and More Humid Weather for the Next Four Weeks

The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) has recently released a weather forecast for the next four weeks, providing valuable insights into the expected weather conditions in the region. The forecast covers the period from May 8 to June 6 and indicates that the upcoming weeks will bring cooler and more humid weather compared to average conditions, with temperatures anticipated to be at or below average and rainfall expected to be around average levels.

Beginning with the current week, the forecast suggests that it will be slightly cooler than average. Nighttime temperatures are projected to hover around 6 °C, while daytime temperatures are expected to reach approximately 17 °C. Tuesday is predicted to be the sunniest day of the week. However, from Wednesday onwards, rain and showers are expected to persist until the end of the week.

Moving on to the second week of the forecast, which spans from May 15 to 21, temperatures are predicted to be average. During this period, nighttime temperatures are expected to be around 7 °C, while daytime temperatures should reach about 19 °C. As for the third week, from May 22 to 28, temperatures may once again be slightly below average, with nighttime temperatures projected to be around 7 °C and daytime temperatures hovering around 19 °C. The forecast indicates that there won’t be significant warming at the beginning of June, and the fourth week, spanning from May 29 to June 6, is expected to be average in terms of temperatures. Nighttime temperatures are predicted to be around 9 °C, while daytime temperatures should reach approximately 21 °C.

It’s important to note that the monthly outlook provides a general overview of the expected weather conditions, and it may not capture all possible fluctuations. The CHMI emphasizes that the success rate of the temperature outlook is approximately 75%, while the success rate for precipitation is around 65%. However, the forecast for the third and fourth weeks often aligns closely with long-term climate values for those respective periods.

While the forecast doesn’t indicate significant weather disturbances, the cooler and more humid conditions may have implications for certain activities and sectors, such as agriculture and tourism. These conditions could impact crop growth and tourism activities that are sensitive to weather, prompting stakeholders in these sectors to take necessary precautions. Additionally, individuals planning outdoor activities or events can benefit from the forecast by gaining insights into the expected weather conditions and adjusting their plans accordingly.

Overall, the CHMI’s weather forecast for the next four weeks in the Czech Republic points to a cooler and more humid period, with temperatures expected to be at or below average and rainfall anticipated to be around average levels. Stakeholders and individuals can utilize this information to make informed decisions and adapt their plans to the expected weather conditions.
