Happy Sámi National Day! Today, we celebrate the unique culture, heritage, and traditions of the indigenous people of Sámi.
Sámi National Day is a day to celebrate the rich history and culture of the Sámi people, who have been living in the Arctic regions of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia for thousands of years. They are the only indigenous people in the EU.
Sámi National Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the rights and cultural heritage of the Sámi people. The Sámi people have faced many challenges throughout history, including forced assimilation, land rights, and cultural suppression. Today, we take a moment to honor the resilience and strength of the Sámi people, and recognize the importance of preserving their culture and heritage for future generations.
