Embassy of Finland Prague – Suomen suurlähetystö Praha

Did you know that in Finland the May Day, Vappu, is a celebration of students, workers and the arrival of spring?🎉💐
🎊On Vappu, people of all ages wear their white high-school graduation caps in town, celebrate carnival-style and gather to parks for picnics. Eating a deep-fryed sweet pastry tippaleipä and drinking a mead soft drink sima (pictured) as well as munkki doughnuts are very traditional.🥂 Numerous festive student traditions are also associated with the date.
The Finnish Embassy wishes everyone a happy Vappu!🥂
