Dne 27. ledna uspořádalo indické velvyslanectví slavnostní recepci v historickém paláci Žofín v Praze u příležitosti oslav Dne republiky. Akce přilákala řadu vysoce postavených představitelů z oblasti politiky, diplomacie, obchodu, kultury a společnosti a působivě zdůraznila úzké a stále se rozvíjející vztahy mezi Indií a Českou republikou.
