Galakoncert Štátnej filharmónie Košice v Praze

V úterý 4. listopadu pozval velvyslanec Slovenské republiky, Jeho Excelence Martin Murańsky, diplomatický sbor, politické představitele České republiky a mnoho přátel Slovenska na slavnostní galakoncert Štátnej filharmónie Košice. Akce se konala ve Smetanově síni Obecního domu v Praze.

Mezi čestnými hosty byli prezident Slovenské republiky Peter Pellegrini a prezident České republiky Petr Pavel. Jejich účast podtrhla význam celého večera.

Koncert byl věnován několika významným výročím: 145. výročí narození Milana Rastislava Štefánika, jedné z klíčových postav vzniku Československa, a 175. výročí narození Tomáše Garrigua Masaryka, prvního prezidenta Československé republiky.

Výběr těchto výročí byl také diplomaticky velmi obratný. Na slovenský státní svátek se prezident Petr Pavel jako čestný host nedostavil – což bylo vnímáno jako jisté diplomatické napětí vůči slovenskému premiérovi Robertu Ficovi, jehož politická linie se výrazně liší od linie české vlády. Tehdy přišli pouze bývalí prezidenti Václav Klaus a Miloš Zeman.

Naproti tomu se účasti na koncertě prezident vyhnout nemohl – díky silnému akcentu na společné československé dějiny a mimořádným výročím. Večer se ukázal jako brilantní diplomatický krok a velkolepý úspěch.

Štátna filharmónia Košice nadchla publikum svým mistrovským výkonem. Po koncertě následoval v Obecním domě bohatý raut, na němž hosté zůstali až téměř do půlnoci.

Zvláštní poděkování patří velvyslanci Martinu Murańskému za výjimečnou organizaci tohoto nezapomenutelného večera.

Gala Concert of the Slovak State Philharmonic Košice in Prague

On Tuesday, 4 November, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, His Excellency Martin Murańsky, invited members of the diplomatic corps, political representatives of the Czech Republic, and many friends of Slovakia to a gala concert by the Slovak State Philharmonic Košice. The event took place at the Smetana Hall in the Municipal House in Prague.

The Guests of Honor were the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, and the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. Their presence underscored the high importance of the event.

The concert was held in commemoration of two major anniversaries: the 145th anniversary of the birth of Milan Rastislav Štefánik, one of the founding figures of Czechoslovakia, and the 175th anniversary of the birth of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, the first President of the Czechoslovak Republic.

The choice of these anniversaries was diplomatically astute. On Slovakia’s national holiday, President Petr Pavel did not attend as Guest of Honor — a gesture widely interpreted as a diplomatic slight toward Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, whose political direction differs strongly from that of the Czech government. Only former Czech presidents Václav Klaus and Miloš Zeman were present at that time.

In contrast, with the strong emphasis on shared Czechoslovak history and the anniversary of Masaryk, President Pavel could hardly decline to attend the gala concert. The evening was a cleverly orchestrated diplomatic success.

The Slovak State Philharmonic Košice impressed the audience with its outstanding performance. After the concert, a generous reception followed in the Municipal House, where guests remained until nearly midnight.

Am Dienstag, dem 4. November, lud der Botschafter der Slowakischen Republik, Seine Exzellenz Martin Murańsky, das diplomatische Corps, politische Vertreter Tschechiens sowie zahlreiche Freunde der Slowakei zu einem festlichen Galakonzert der Staatlichen Philharmonie Košice ein. Die Veranstaltung fand im Smetana-Saal des Gemeindehauses in Prag statt.

Zu den Ehrengästen zählten der Präsident der Slowakischen Republik, Peter Pellegrini, und der Präsident der Tschechischen Republik, Petr Pavel. Ihre Anwesenheit betonte die hohe Bedeutung des Abends.

Der Anlass des Konzerts waren bedeutende Jubiläen: der 145. Geburtstag von Milan Rastislav Štefánik, einer der Gründungsväter der Tschechoslowakei, sowie der 175. Geburtstag von Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, dem ersten Präsidenten der Tschechoslowakischen Republik.

Die Wahl dieser Jubiläen war diplomatisch geschickt. Zum slowakischen Nationalfeiertag war Präsident Petr Pavel nicht als Ehrengast erschienen – ein Vorgang, der allgemein als diplomatische Verstimmung gegenüber dem slowakischen Premierminister Robert Fico interpretiert wurde, dessen politischer Kurs deutlich von dem der tschechischen Regierung abweicht. Damals waren lediglich die ehemaligen Präsidenten Václav Klaus und Miloš Zeman anwesend.

Nun jedoch, angesichts der Betonung der gemeinsamen tschechoslowakischen Geschichte und des Masaryk-Jubiläums, konnte sich Präsident Pavel der Teilnahme kaum entziehen. Der Abend erwies sich als brillanter diplomatischer Schritt und großer Erfolg.

Die Staatliche Philharmonie Košice begeisterte das Publikum mit ihrem hervorragenden musikalischen Vortrag. Im Anschluss fand im Gemeindehaus ein großzügiger Empfang statt, bei dem die Gäste nahezu bis Mitternacht verweilten.

Besonderer Dank gilt dem slowakischen Botschafter Martin Murańsky für die Organisation dieses unvergesslichen Abends.
