Divadelní noviny o něm napsaly: “Události holokaustu jsou již několik desetiletí předmětem uměleckých děl. S novým osobitým pojetím přišlo komorní Divadlo MA s autorskou inscenací Gramofon. Aniž by to tvůrci při tvoření inscenace tušili, rezonuje jejich dílo se současností více, než by si kdokoliv z nás přál.”

Tématem představení je duchovní život člověka, jeho vnitřní síla a vždy existující možnost volby, a to i v nesnesitelných životních podmínkách, absolutním ponížení, utrpení a situaci totální fyzické nesvobody.

THEATRE IN THE GRÉBOVKA PARK: GRAMOPHONE WITH EVGENY KISSIN’S MUSIC

WHEN: English version will be shown on August 1 and 5 from 8:00 p.m. The Czech version will be performed on August 3 also from 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Grotta, Havlíčkovy sady (Grébovka)

The musical-dramatic work was created through collaboration of the pianist Yevgeni Kissin, and the director Marianna Arzumanova, who is the creator of the script together with Igor Šebo. The libretto comes from the pen of the American Yiddish writer Boris Sandler.

Theatre News (Divadelní noviny) wrote about it: “The events of the Holocaust have been the subject of works of art for several decades. The MA Theater came up with a new, unique concept in the form of the Gramophone production. Their work resonates with the present more than anyone would have imagined or wished for.”

Theme of the play is the spiritual life of a person, a person’s inner strength and the choice which exists even in the most unbearable and degrading conditions of misery and physical incarceration.
