Izrael díky přistěhovaleckým vlnám z celého světa vstřebal do své kultury nejrozmanitější hudební prvky. Jedním z takových příkladů je i slavná izraelská kapela Voices of Yemen.
Zakládající člen, Ravid Kahalani se inspiroval divokými rytmy a harmonií hudby svých předků. Hudební tvorba Voices of Yemen je také snahou o zachování tradice mystických písní židovských kmenů z Jemenu.

VOICES OF YEMEN at 2024 RESPECT FESTIVAL
WHEN AND WHERE: June 16 / Štvanice Island, Prague (as part of the Respect Festival)
Thanks to waves of immigrants from all over the world, Israel has absorbed the most diverse musical elements into its culture. One such example is the famous Israeli band Voices of Yemen.
Its founding member, Ravid Kahalani was inspired by the wild rhythms and harmonies of his ancestors’ music. Voices of Yemen music is therefore also an effort to preserve the tradition of mystical songs of Jewish tribes from Yemen.
