A New Chapter in Ghana–Central Europe Relations
H.E. Theresa Adjei-Mensah Takes Up Her Mission in Prague

The Republic of Ghana has opened a new and promising chapter in its diplomatic engagement with Central Europe with the appointment of H.E. Theresa Adjei-Mensah (Ms.) as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Czech Republic.

Based in Prague, Ambassador Adjei-Mensah also serves as Non-Resident Ambassador to the Slovak Republic, Romania, the Republic of North Macedonia, and the Republic of Poland — a broad and strategically important regional mandate that reflects Ghana’s growing engagement with Europe.

From the outset of her tenure, Ambassador Adjei-Mensah has articulated a clear vision: to strengthen and expand bilateral and multilateral relations across key sectors including trade and investment, tourism, culture, education, security, transport, and people-to-people exchanges. Guided by Ghana’s foreign policy objectives, her mission emphasizes mutually beneficial partnerships, sustainable development, and shared prosperity.

In her welcoming message, the Ambassador highlights transparency, accessibility, and responsiveness as core principles of her leadership. The Embassy’s official platform serves as a practical and interactive channel for engagement with citizens, partners, and stakeholders across all accredited countries.

With the dedicated support of Embassy staff and Honorary Consulates in the Slovak Republic and Romania, the Mission is committed to delivering efficient and client-oriented consular services. Safeguarding the welfare and interests of Ghanaian citizens within its jurisdiction remains a central priority.

Ambassador Theresa Adjei-Mensah brings to Prague a distinguished career rooted in public service, international cooperation, and diplomatic engagement. Representing one of West Africa’s most stable and dynamic democracies, she continues Ghana’s tradition of active multilateral participation and constructive global partnership.

Ghana is widely recognized as a pillar of democratic stability in Africa and plays a key role in regional peacekeeping, economic integration, and sustainable development initiatives. Ambassador Adjei-Mensah’s work aligns closely with these priorities, focusing on partnerships that generate tangible economic and social benefits.

Under her leadership, the Embassy seeks to deepen economic ties between Ghana and its accredited countries. Ghana’s strategic location, stable political environment, and expanding infrastructure make it an attractive destination for investment. Key sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, mining, transport, and digital innovation offer strong potential for collaboration.

Cultural diplomacy also forms a central pillar of her mission. Ghana’s rich heritage, vibrant arts, music, and traditions provide meaningful opportunities for cross-cultural understanding and long-term partnership. Tourism, education exchange, and academic cooperation further strengthen these bridges.

Engagement with the Ghanaian diaspora remains another core priority. Ghanaian citizens across the Czech Republic and the wider region contribute actively to business, academia, and cultural life. The Embassy stands committed to supporting their welfare and encouraging their role as ambassadors of Ghana’s values abroad.

The appointment of Ambassador Theresa Adjei-Mensah signals Ghana’s intention to strengthen its presence in Central and Eastern Europe and to foster deeper cooperation across political, economic, and cultural dimensions. Her tenure begins with optimism, professionalism, and a clear commitment to dialogue and partnership.

As Ghana and its European partners navigate a rapidly evolving global landscape, the leadership of Ambassador Adjei-Mensah offers a steady and forward-looking framework for cooperation — grounded in mutual respect, shared opportunity, and enduring friendship.
