OPENING OF THE NEW SZECHUAN AVIARY

On Saturday, July 22, visitors to the Prague Zoo were awaiting the opening ceremony of the aviary at the Szechuan Pavilion. The newly built exhibit will allow rare himalayan foothills birds to inhabit outdoor spaces as well. The event began at 11 a.m. and was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Prague, along with the Director of the Prague Zoo, Miroslav Bobko, and the curator of birds, Antonin Vaidl. Prague for the area of environment Jana Komrsková and favourite bidding band Zrní.In the new aviary, the home will find eight species of birds from the Himalayan foothills as well as other places in Asia, e.g. the endangered scaly guinea pig, the lovely speck of Chinese or the impressive argus eye.
