The third annual Restaurant Week World Festival will take place 6. – 24.3.2024 and will focus this time on international cuisine and travel. A record number of restaurants will be involved in the spring round.
World Festival Restaurant Week has, as its first two rounds showed, really taken up residence in the Czech Republic. So he returns to the capital this spring after a successful autumn round last year. This time, with Food Knows No Boundaries, which should bring diners to restaurants who enjoy discovering the tastes of cuisine from all over the world. Because when you feel like exploring, food knows no bounds.
As in autumn, the third year will offer interesting gastronomic experiences in exceptional Prague restaurants, including those that were among the most popular in the previous round. Among them was bistro Kunsthalle Prague, which not only won the overall ranking but took first place in the ratings of the menu, atmosphere and service. In the Garden.
Anna Grosman, a successful food blogger behind the event in the Czech Republic, explains what we can expect from this year’s event: “Prague is full of flavours and offers a wide range of world-class cuisines. You don’t have to travel to get a taste of the world. Just get on a train named Restaurant Week and we’ll transport you to Thailand, China, Peru, France, Italy or maybe India and Argentina.»
According to Anna Grosman, a little more restaurants will be involved in the spring event than in autumn, when there were a little more than thirty in Prague. This time, the number of businesses should rise to fifty.
The principle is the same: the special menu that restaurateurs will prepare for the event is to be made available to the general public. This is also matched by the price: 790 or 590 kronor per person (plus a booking fee of 15 kronor). It is the friendly price for luxury menus in Prague’s most beautiful businesses that, according to the organizers, leads to many guests coming to the festival two or three times.
Restaurants that don’t yet have such credentials? These are the ones that offer the menu at a lower price, and they have a chance to show what’s in them thanks to the festival. “And that’s the next magic of the festival! Even to the less reputable, we give the opportunity to show off when nominating for an exceptional menu that is tailor-made for this year’s theme,” explains Anna Grosman.
In addition to the winning restaurants mentioned, the third year will again offer regulars of Prague gastronomy, such as Augustine, Amano, Sansho or Hong Kong Karlín. Interesting newcomers will be Nebozízek Restaurant, Indian by Nature, Mediterranean Turquoise or Neapolitan SaxonRe.
All restaurants will prepare the best their cuisine has to offer, so that visitors will enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Participants can choose from different menus on the web, which include appetizers, main courses and desserts, mostly in vegetarian, sometimes even vegan versions.
