Terezin Memorial Ghetto Müzesi Direktörü Sayın Jan Roubinek’in açılış konuşmasıyla başlayan törende Büyükelçimiz Sayın Egemen Bağış, tarihçi Sayın Tomas Federovic ve Türkiye Musevi Cemaati adına Sayın Renan Koen birer konuşma yapmıştır.

Plaketi eşi Beyhan N. Bağış ve Müze Direktörü Dr. Roubinek ile birlikte açan Büyükelçimiz yaptığı konuşmada Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin antisemitizmi en güçlü şekilde kınadığını ifade ederek, ırkçılık, yabancı düşmanlığı ve İslamofobya ile mücadelenin önemine dikkat çekmiştir.

A plaque was placed in the Kolumbárium museum by our Embassy in a ceremony held in memory of our citizens and other victims who lost their lives in the concentration camp (Thereseinstadt) established by the Nazis in Terezin, Czech Republic during the Second World War.

In the ceremony which started with the opening speech of Mr. Jan Roubinek, Director of Terezin Memorial Ghetto Museum, our Ambassador H.E. Egemen Bağış, historian Mr. Tomas Federovic and Ms. Renan Koen on behalf of the Jewish Community of Türkiye each made a speech.

Opening the plaque together with his wife Ms. Beyhan N. Bağış and Museum Director Dr. Roubanek, in his speech, Ambassador Bağış stated that the Republic of Türkiye condemned anti-semitism in the strongest terms and drew attention to the importance of combating racism, xenophobia and Islamophobia.

Naše velvyslanectví, na památku našich občanů a dalších obětí, které přišly o život v ghettu, zřízeném nacisty v Terezíně (německy Theresienstadt) za druhé světové války, odhalilo ve zdejším kolumbáriu pamětní desku.

V rámci slavnostního ceremoniálu, který zahájil svým úvodním slovem pan Jan Roubínek, ředitel Památníku Terezín, přednesli své projevy i náš velvyslanec, J.E. pan Egemen Bağış, historik Památníku Terezín, pan Tomáš Federovič a za židovskou komunitu v Turecku promluvila paní Renan Koen.

Poté, co spolu se svou ženou, paní Beyhan N. Bağış a ředitelem Památníku Terezín, panem Roubínkem, odhalil pamětní desku, velvyslanec Bağış ve svém projevu uvedl, že Turecká republika velmi důrazně odsuzuje antisemitismus a zároveň upozornil na důležitost boje proti rasismu, xenofobii a islamofobii.
