Ukraine Is Getting More Drones To Fight Russia
Czech Drones Headed to Ukraine From Luxembourg – Reports this weekend revealed that Luxembourg donated six Primoco One 150 fixed-wing drones manufactured in the Czech Republic to Ukraine. The delivery of the drones on Saturday was confirmed by the Luxembourg Ministry of Defense.
New Drones for Ukraine to Fight Russia
The fixed-wing drones will provide the Ukrainian military with new surveillance and reconnaissance abilities.
The unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are designed to make surveillance easier thanks to the autopilot settings that allow for automatic takeoff and landing, as well as flight plan execution.
The drone can also fly for as long as 15 hours, continually sending data back to operators on the ground, including high-resolution imagery.
According to the manufacturer, the drone can take off and land in daylight, at night, and even during poor weather conditions and has a range of up to 2,000km in a single mission.
The drone can be operated by remote control during all phases of flight. The short runway length of 300 meters means that the drone can be launched from remote locations where airport facilities are now available.
“This endurance combined with a cruise speed of 100–150 km/h, gives the Primoco UAV – compared to electric aircraft – unmatched performance in its category, while at the same time operating costs are kept to a minimum,” the manufacturer explains.
“The unique features of the UAV ONE 150 are the 30 kg payload and the high altitude operation (to 3,300 m above sea level) allowing extended missions with a mixed sensor payload and operation at altitudes of 2,000 m or higher.”
