Ambassador Suzuki accepted the invitation of the Vice Chairman of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Bartošek and day 3. in October he visited the Augustinian Abbey in Brno. In the abbey garden, the founder of genetics and abbot Johann Gregor Mendel performed his pea experiments from 1856 to 1863.\n Ambassador Suzuki got acquainted with the historical background of Mendel’s laws of inheritance and with J. Bartošek agreed to deepen the dialogue in order to strengthen Japanese-Czech relations. Ondřej Soška, General Commissioner of Czech Participation in EXPO 2025 in Setsace, also attended the meeting. The world exhibition will be an opportunity to further expand mutual cooperation.
