In January Ambassador Suzuki welcomed the Czech national baseball team to a ceremonial reception at his residence on the occasion of its historically first qualification for the World Baseball Classic (WBC) 2023 World Championship. The Czech team will play its matches in the Japanese part of the WBC and 11. On March, he will face the home team directly at Tokyo Dome Stadium.
