Adventures in Kaiserwinkl
The Kaiserwinkl Tourist Board held a press conference at the dancing house in Prague at the end of August. He presented to the journalists present this amazing region on the border of Austria and Bavaria, which lies in lush green alpine meadows at the foot of the Zahmer and Wilder Kaiser mountains.
In Tyrolean Kaiserwinkl, you’ll try climbing in a ravine, treasure hunting, bat safaris, llama hikes, pony rides, butter-making as in granny’s day, or a bee-hunting expedition.
Many activities, such as a hands-on workshop, demonstrations of everyday life on an alpine pasture, traditional butter-making, or exploring the moors at Lake Walchsee, can involve even the smallest visitors. Elders can try archery, rafting, baby canyoning and much more.
The Kaiserwinkl Mountain Valley has a lot to offer families because of its location between the Kaiser mountains and the Chiemgau Alps: two hundred kilometres of marked hiking trails to more than thirty mountain huts on which to explore the charming valley basin perfectly. After your hike, in addition to the experiential forest swimming pool in Kössen, you can also refresh in Lake Walchsee. This is the hottest Tyrolean lake, suitable for swimming, on which you will find a large water trampoline, a fixed Iceberg glacier or a playground with a pirate ship. Also unique is the 800 sqm Wibit Aqua amusement park with bouldering wall, trampoline, slides and blobbing on the east bank.
