Berg’s two goals net New Prague Trojans victory over Minnesota River Bulldogs

The New Prague Trojans beat the hosting Minnesota River Bulldogs on Friday, ending 6-3.

The visiting Trojans took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Connor Williams. Eric Berg and Braeden Woitas assisted.

The Bulldogs’ Travis Kotek tied it up late in the first, assisted by Braylon Hoffman and Drew Simonette.

The Trojans scored two goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.

The Trojans increased the lead to 5-2 early in the third period when Max Hanzel found the back of the net, assisted by Carson Myers and Cade Borwege.

Cole Goecke narrowed the gap to 5-3 one minute later, assisted by Travis Kotek and Hayden Stensrud.

Eric Berg made it 6-3 late in the third, assisted by Michael Beckius and Connor Williams.

Next games:

On Tuesday, the Bulldogs will play the Tigers at 7 p.m. CST at St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders, and the Trojans will play the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. CST at Rogers Royals.
