Brief Respite from Heat: Cold Front to Bring Rain and Thunderstorms

Date – After a warm weekend, meteorologists are predicting a temporary reprieve from the heat as a cold front approaches. The upcoming weather pattern will see temperatures climb to 30°C on Sunday, but the warm air from the southwest will be halted by the arrival of a cold front, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms to certain regions. Meteorologist Dagmar Honsová provided the forecast.

Thursday’s weather will feature mostly partly cloudy to cloudy skies, accompanied by scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to range from 22-26°C, reaching 28°C in the southern Moravia region. Friday will bring similar conditions, with morning lows of 15-11°C and afternoon highs of 23-27°C.

As we approach the weekend, Saturday will see partly cloudy skies, along with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will vary between 15-10°C, while afternoon highs will reach 24-28°C. On Sunday, skies are expected to clear up, offering mostly clear conditions. Morning lows will range from 16-12°C, with afternoon highs reaching 27-31°C.

The peak of warm air is anticipated on Monday, with temperatures soaring to 34°C. Skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with increasing cloudiness in the afternoon, leading to scattered showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds. Morning lows will be between 18-14°C, with afternoon highs ranging from 27-31°C, and reaching 34°C in the southeast.

Tuesday’s forecast will see more cloudiness, with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds affecting some areas. Morning lows will remain steady at 18-14°C, while afternoon highs are expected to reach 23-28°C.

By Wednesday, temperatures will experience a further drop, accompanied by mostly cloudy skies, scattered showers, and possible thunderstorms in certain regions. Morning lows will range from 15-11°C, while afternoon highs will hover around 21-25°C.

As the cold front sweeps in, the brief relief from the heat will bring welcomed rain and thunderstorms to certain areas. It is essential for residents and travelers to remain aware of the weather conditions and any potential weather advisories during this period. The fluctuating weather patterns are typical for this time of year, highlighting the importance of being prepared for varying conditions.
