On 15 June 2026, members of the Canadian-Czech business community, diplomats, entrepreneurs and invited guests gathered for the Canadian Summer Boat Party 2026, organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic. Held aboard a party boat cruising along Prague’s picturesque Vltava River, the annual event once again combined business networking with the relaxed atmosphere of an early summer evening.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic has long promoted bilateral trade, investment and professional cooperation through conferences, business breakfasts, networking events and cultural activities. Its annual Summer Boat Party has become one of the Chamber’s signature events, bringing together representatives of business, diplomacy and public life in an informal environment.

A special contribution to the success of the 2026 event was made by Jiří Krejča, President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic. Under his leadership, the Chamber has strengthened its reputation as one of the country’s most active bilateral business organizations, creating valuable opportunities for Canadian and Czech companies to build lasting partnerships.

Together with his wife, Lucie Krejčová, Executive Director of the Chamber, he welcomed guests aboard the boat and helped create the warm and friendly atmosphere that has become a hallmark of Canadian Chamber events. Their professionalism, personal commitment and hospitality were evident throughout the evening and contributed significantly to the success of the event.

The evening also offered an opportunity to recognize the achievements of Peter Formanek, President Emeritus and one of the Chamber’s founders. His long-standing dedication laid the foundations for what has become one of the Czech Republic’s most respected international business organizations, and his presence reflected the continuity of the Chamber’s mission.

As the boat cruised past Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and the National Theatre, guests enjoyed refreshments, music and panoramic views while exchanging ideas on business, investment and future cooperation. The event once again demonstrated that personal relationships remain at the heart of successful international business.

The Canadian Summer Boat Party 2026 concluded in a relaxed and optimistic atmosphere, highlighting the strong friendship between Canada and the Czech Republic and the important role the Canadian Chamber of Commerce continues to play in strengthening those ties.
