The annual Comic-Con event has kicked off in Prague with a grand opening ceremony attended by top Hollywood stars and famous comic book creators. The festival celebrates pop culture and its various forms, from comic books to movies and video games. Among the notable guests in attendance were Danny Glover, Ian McDiarmid, Corin Nemec, Richard D. Anderson, Matt Ryan, Rob Williams, and Brian Bolland.

On the first day, the focus was on cosplayers and the festival’s grand opening ceremony, which was attended by top Hollywood and Czech stars. On Friday, the most popular events were the talk with Ian McDiarmid and the talk show with Josef Dvořák, who talked about the 40th anniversary of the cult TV series Visitors.

Saturday and Sunday’s events include the Pragocosplay competition, where the ability to fine-tune the costume to the last detail and acting talent are evaluated. There will also be a talk show with Czech fighter pilot and Captain of the Czech Army, Aleš Svoboda, who successfully passed the European Space Agency’s selection process in November 2022 and became a member of the backup astronaut team. Additionally, the stars of the Four-Leaf Clover comic will be introduced, and there will be a talk show about film music with world-renowned composer and orchestrator Conrad Pope and a talk show with Danny Glover.

It is expected that the overall attendance of the event will exceed 20,000 fans. The festival provides a unique opportunity for fans to meet their favorite stars and comic book creators and participate in various activities and competitions. Comic-Con is not only a celebration of pop culture but also a platform for bringing people with similar interests together and creating a sense of community.
