Glass is our history, present and future. That is the motto of this year’s biggest upcoming Crystal Valley event, it will be played at the end of the summer holidays in Liberia.

Crystal Valley Week is supposed to be a truly special experience for Czech and foreign tourists. For the second year running, the great Crystal Valley Week summer glass festival will offer live demonstrations of glass production right in the city center, glass installations in the streets, exhibitions, a special crystal market, light shows, music and entertainment.

Crystal Valley – is an area of the world’s unique concentration and variety of glass, jewellery, stoneware and jewellery making and manufacturing. Crystal Valley is based on the perfect traditional craft and skill of the local people it represents to the public.

The Crystal Valley brand is presented by the Regional Development Agency of the Liberec Region as an essential attraction for locals and tourists from the Czech Republic and abroad. The region is a popular tourist area, so thousands of visitors go to it every year for nature and sport, but above all it has a unique position in the world of art glass, jewellery and jewellery. In fact, there are more than 160 glass, jewellery and jewellery companies, tradesmen, museums and schools across the Liberec Region, all of which should be popular tourist destinations. The effort is to support traditional creators, but also to show their work to visitors in a different point of view, from as close as possible, so to speak, at their fingertips.

For the second year running it will bring a week full of art, music and entertainment to the city under Ještěd, while simultaneously introducing the creators of the Crystal Valley in one place. A brand that presents the history and contemporary glass, jewellery and jewellery making of all corners of the Liberec Region.

Crystal Valley Week will be a real experience for Czech and foreign tourists and residents of the organising region. The big summer glass festival will allow them to work with glowing glass ware along with glass artists, right in the streets of the city, but they will also face the refining of glass by grinding along with a Kulic master, or the making of jewellery.

‘Glass in many forms you will meet in the last week of August in the city under Ještěd literally every step of the way, even in very unexpected places. While glass flamingos beautified the Liberal Zoo last year, this year the festival attracts the oldest botanical garden in the Czech Republic. Fragile glass with floral motifs will be seen by its visitors installed right among the rare plants,” says David Pastva for the organizers.
