The Czech Post has recently revealed an intriguing stamp collection that pays tribute to Czech culture and history. This exceptional collection showcases the portrait of President Petr Pavel and consists of ten stamps, each distinguished by a nominal value represented by the letter B. What sets these stamps apart is the incorporation of background colors associated with significant places, events, or objects deeply rooted in Czech culture.

Designed by Petr Štěpán, the stamps draw inspiration from various sources, including the Czech anthem, literary works, and traditional crafts. The colors range from the gentle hue of “květolipová” (a shade of pink) to the vibrant “českomotorková” (a shade of blue) and the rich “babičkově malinovková” (a shade of red).

The stamp collection will be available for purchase as a complete set of ten, priced at 230 Czech korunas. The Czech Post has produced a limited edition of 100,000 sets, and these self-adhesive stamps will not be sold individually. There are no plans to reprint the collection, making it an exclusive and sought-after item for collectors and stamp enthusiasts.
