Czech Republic Unveils Scientific Diplomacy Priorities to Enhance Global Collaboration
Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : In a bid to bolster international cooperation in research and innovation, the Czech government has announced its strategic priorities in the realm of scientific diplomacy. Led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jirí Kozák and Deputy Minister for Science, Research, and Innovation Jana Havlíková, a high-level meeting is set to take place at the historic Czernin Palace on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
The gathering, which will convene ambassadors and esteemed representatives from diplomatic missions, aims to outline the Czech Republic’s commitment to fostering global partnerships in science, research, and innovation. Kate?ina Sequensová, Director General of the Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Cooperation Section at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is slated to discuss the primary tools and initiatives driving Czech science diplomacy forward.
Highlighting the internationalization efforts and academic offerings of the Czech Republic, Miroslav Lávi?ka, Rector of the University of West Bohemia, and Michal Otyepka, representative of the Czech Institute of Research and Advanced Technologies (CATRIN) at Palacký University in Olomouc, will provide insights from the academic and research spheres.
This pivotal event underscores Czechia’s proactive approach towards leveraging scientific diplomacy as a catalyst for fostering cross-border collaboration, driving innovation, and addressing global challenges.
