Czech Republic will experience snowfall with heavier snowfall expected in the mountains

The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) has forecasted that this weekend, most of the Czech Republic will experience snowfall with heavier snowfall expected in the mountains. The snowfall will be accompanied by freezing temperatures at night, with daytime temperatures hovering around zero degrees Celsius.

On Friday, the country will see cloudy to overcast weather, with snowfall expected in the east. Overnight temperatures will drop to minus two to minus six degrees Celsius, and in areas with reduced cloud cover, temperatures can drop as low as minus eight degrees Celsius. The highest daily temperatures will range between minus one and plus three degrees.

Saturday will also be cloudy, with snowfall gradually increasing from the east in most areas. The snowfall is expected to be heavier in the mountains, and meteorologists have warned that tongues of snow may form in central locations. Overnight temperatures will range between minus one and minus five degrees, with temperatures dropping to minus seven degrees in the west. During the day, temperatures will range between minus three and plus one degree, with a moderate north-westerly wind blowing, and gusts reaching speeds of over 50 kilometers per hour.

On Sunday, snowfall is expected to continue in most areas, with precipitation stopping from the east during the day. Overnight temperatures will range between minus one and minus five degrees, and daytime temperatures will be around zero degrees.

The forecast for next week predicts similar weather conditions, with nighttime temperatures below zero and daytime temperatures around zero. It is important for individuals to take necessary precautions and stay warm during these cold temperatures.
