Today, 11th of February, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! This annual initiative, implemented by the United Nations in 2015, aims to celebrate female scientists and researchers around the , as well as to highlight the importance of their role in the evolution and enrichment of the scientific field.

Thus, the Portuguese Embassy will dedicate its online space this week to showing our followers a sample of the community of scientists living in the , represented here by 4 female scientists who we will be presenting in an alphabetical order.
