Yesterday, a historic event occurred when Her Majesty Queen Margaret II. after 52 years, she resigned from the post of monarch and entrusted the throne to her elder son, His Majesty King Frederick X.

Tens of thousands of people filled the streets of Copenhagen to honor Queen Margaret II, greet the new king and witness the succession to the throne, which was traditionally announced by the Danish Prime Minister on the balcony of Christiansborg Castle.

Yesterday, in a historical event, HM Queen Margrethe II stepped down as monarch after 52 years and entrusted the throne to her elder son, HM King Frederik X.

Tens of thousands of people filled the streets of Copenhagen to honour HM Queen Margrethe II, greet HM King Frederik X, and witness the succession of the throne that, according to tradition, was proclaimed by the Danish Prime minister at the balcony of Christiansborg Castle.
