První říjnové úterý je v dánské politice mimořádným dnem, kdy pro dánský parlament Folketinget začíná nový parlamentní rok a předseda/předsedkyně vlády přednáší projev o stavu země. Otevření parlamentu se tradičně účastní také královská rodina, která tak činí již od roku 1966. Její Veličenstvo královna Margrethe II. a Jeho královská výsost korunní princ Frederik i dnes dodrželi tradici a otevření Parlamentu se zúčastnili. 
The first Tuesday in October is an extraordinary day in Danish politics since the Danish Parliament ‘Folketinget’ opens for a new parliamentary year and the Prime Minister gives a speech on the status of the country’s state of affairs. Moreover, the royal family attends the opening and has been doing so since 1966. So HM Margrethe II and HRH Crown Prince Frederik followed the tradition and attended the opening.
