Dnes se v Dánsku slaví Den Lucie. 🕯️
Průvody o tomto dni se poprvé konaly v roce 1944 a od té doby se slaví na veřejných místech, ve školách i v domovech důchodců, kde dobrovolnice v bílých šatech se svíčkami zpívají písně a vánoční koledy. 🎄
V posledních letech se objevily i méně tradičnější oslavy, kdy obyvatelé Kodaně, Aarhusu, Odense a Aalborgu projíždějí na osvícených kajacích městskými kanály a rozsvěcují tak temné zimní období. 🕯️

In Denmark the 13 December is Lucia Day. 🕯️
The Lucia parade was first held in Denmark in 1944, and has ever since been celebrated in public places, schools and in nursing homes, where the volunteers wear white dresses, carry candles and sing the Lucia song and Christmas carols. 🎄
A more untraditional celebration has also appeared in recent years, where citizens in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg are sailing in lit up kayaks through the city canals, contributing to lighting up the winter season. 🕯️
