“I am Miia Helenius and I have recently joined the Finnish Embassy in Prague as a Consular Services Coordinator. My main responsibilities include consular and administrative affairs. This role also offers me a good overview of different functions of the embassy as well as an opportunity to meet and help our customers.

I studied contemporary history and political science at the University of Turku and spent the early years of my career working in London for a company with a strong connection to the Nordics. I have lived in the Czech Republic for six years. First five years I spent in Brno working for an international company. In 2021 I relocated to Prague with my Czech fiancé and our daughter. Although I have already adjusted to life in Czechia, I am always interested to find out more about Czech culture and the country’s fascinating history. Prague inspires me every day with its beauty and charm.”
