“Dobrý den! My name is Heta and my main responsibilities as a Deputy Head of Mission include reporting on EU policy, following developments in Czech and Slovak politics, handling some everyday administrative tasks and communications and substituting the Head of Mission and Consular Officer when needed.

I arrived to Prague from Helsinki where I worked in the Department for Communications at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. I joined foreign service last year and I am partaking in Ministry’s Training Course for Newly Recruited Diplomats.

I have a background in journalism and previously I have worked as a Brussels correspondent for the Finnish News Agency.

I have very much enjoyed my spring in beautiful Prague and I am looking forward to further exploring both Czech Republic and Slovakia.“
