Embassy of Sweden in Czechia

The #Arctic region is the epicentre of climate change. The pace of global warming there is four times the global average.
This week, Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström participated in the Arctic Frontiers conference in Tromsø, Norway. There, Nordic and international participants discussed the challenges facing the Arctic region.
“As an Arctic country, Sweden has a special role and responsibility for the region’s development,” says Mr Billström.
Effective international cooperation is crucial to managing ongoing climate change. Sweden has an important role to play in the green transition as a provider of green innovations that can benefit the entire country and, by extension, the entire world.
