Embassy of the Netherlands in the Czech Republic
On 5 December, the second edition of the Prague Cleveringa Lecture took place. Hosted by Charles University Rector Milena Králíčková in the Karolinum’s Hall of Patriots, the lecture was organised by the Embassy of the Netherlands in cooperation with the Vaclav Havel Library. The main lecture was given by Universiteit Leiden / Leiden University‘s Luuk van Middelaar, who managed to match past, present, and the legacies of Rudolph Cleveringa and Václav Havel to the transformation of Europe after the ‘Zeitenwende’.
After the lecture, Prof. Van Middelaar engaged in a discussion with Michael Žantovský (Director of the Vaclav Havel Library), and the audience.
