The Book of Sirens at Prague Fringe Festival – 21 years of English-language theatre in the Czech Capital.
The Book of Sirens is a performance of ProEnglish Theatre of Ukraine staged in the bomb shelter / theatre in Kyiv in March 2022.
– a story of a little German town of Molching being constantly bombed during World War II
– a story of a little girl Liesel who learnt to read in a bomb shelter
– a story that repeats
based on the book of Markus Zusak “The Book Thief” as well as the books of Hector Abad Faciolince and an extract of his “The Oblivion We Shall Be”.
