Embassy of Ukraine in Prague / Velvyslanectví Ukrajiny v Praze

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Šmyhal in an interview with Michal Kubal today at 15.00 on ČT24:
I would like to thank the Czech people for their colossal support of Ukraine and Ukrainians. We know well that the Czechs collect money that they bought a tank for Ukrainians. We know that the Czech Republic supplies us weapons, supports us in sanctions policy, helps us financially. But the key for us is the support of the Czech society. Support from people who also contribute small amounts is important. Czechs, ordinary people, sent over 80 million euros to support Ukraine. We thank you for that.
I would also like to thank Prime Minister Peter Fial. He was one of the first to be in Kiev in the early days of the war, when we were at the worst, when the invasion intensified and the Russian army stood by Kiev. It was very dangerous. It was a top secret and security-intensive event, but it was worth it. We appreciate it very much. “
