A rally against the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 Olympics was held near the Czech Olympic Committee in Prague.
The main purpose of the action is to express the request of the Czech Olympic Committee to create pressure on the International Olympic Committee and prevent Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in the Olympics under any flag.
The organizers of the rally were the Ukrainian NGO “Voice of Ukraine” and the Czech initiative “Kaputín”. Participants of the action held in the hands of photographs of Ukrainian athletes who died at the hands of the Kremlin.
The rally was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in the Czech Republic, local activists, athletes and representatives of the leading Czech media.
As a result of Russian aggression, more than 200 Ukrainian athletes and coaches were killed, more than 340 sports facilities were damaged or destroyed by Russia.
