Embassy of Ukraine in Prague / Velvyslanectví Ukrajiny v Praze

On March 15, the Embassy together with the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament within the framework of the meeting of the subcommittee on the support of democracy and human rights abroad of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, a round table “Investigation of war crimes in Ukraine” was held.
Participated in the mentioned event: Temporary Trustee of Ukraine in the Czech Republic Vitaliy Usatiy, Government Commissioner for the reconstruction of Ukraine Thomas Kopechny, Director of the Legal and Consular Department of the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic Martin Smolek and Representative of the Ombudsman for Human Rights Alexander Kononenko.
In the course of the event, the Czech side has provided information about the number of recorded war crimes committed by Russian citizens on the territory of Ukraine, the situation with the compliance of human rights in the temporarily occupied territories and on the work on the return of deported Ukrainian children.
The Czech side has reported the participation of profil нихnih specialists
agencies of the Czech Republic in the investigation of war crimes on the territory of Ukraine, particularly in the Kharkiv region, were also informed about the measures taken by the Czech Republic to prosecute Russian high-ranking officials for crimes committed against the people of Ukraine.
