South American countries have always been an important ally for Czechia. Brazil is Czechia’s largest trading partner in South America and Argentina has the largest and most active expatriate community in Latin America. In both countries, the visit will focus on the development of business cooperation and the strengthening of mutual investment. Other important topics will include cooperation in international organisations and regional issues.

First of all, Minister Lipavsky will visit Brazil from 8^th to 10^th April, where he will meet, among others, the Secretary General of Foreign Affairs, Maria Laura da Rocha, the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, the Vice President of Brazil and Vice-President and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, Gerald Alckmin, representatives of the Office of the Governor of the State of São Paulo and representatives of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo.

Highlights of Minister Lipavsky’s agenda in Argentina on 11-12 April include meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship Diana Mondino, Minister of Defence Luis Alfonso Petri and Minister of National Security Patricia Bullrich.

The head of Czech diplomacy will also meet with representatives of the Czech expatriate community in both countries.
