Honorary consul in Czech Republic requests Cabinet to review licenses of private employment agencies

AKIPRESS.COM – Head of the Kyrgyz community and the honorary consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Czech Republic Saadatkhan Daminova urged the Cabinet of Ministers on November 15 to review the licenses of private employment agencies and examine the criteria for their issuance.

Speaking at the meeting of the Council for Relations with Compatriots Abroad at the state residence Ala-Archa, Daminova highlighted the numerous violations of Kyrgyz citizens’ rights in their pursuit of employment through private agencies.

She also pointed out the challenge of obtaining essential documents, such as a certificate of no criminal record, requiring individuals to travel big distances. This issue arises particularly where there is no embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, and honorary consuls have limited authority to issue such documents.

Additionally, Daminova reported that many young Kyrgyz individuals, upon reaching 18 years old, travel abroad for work without proper professional training, leading them to take on labor-intensive jobs. She proposed vocational training through technical schools to address the shortage of skilled workers, for instance countries like Hungary and Latvia have shortage of such workers.
