Huge rally in Prague to mark anniversary of the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion
Thousands of people came to Prague’s Old Town Square to support Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression, reported Czech outlet Ceske Noviny on Feb. 24.
Protesters chanted slogans such as “Russia is a terrorist state,” “Glory to Ukraine — Glory to Heroes!” and “Long live the Czech Republic.” They also held banners calling for more weapons for Ukraine and stopping the Russian dictator.

At the Munich Security Conference held on Feb. 16-18, Czech President Petr Pavel said that the Czech government had managed to find about 800,000 155 and 122 caliber shells for Ukraine. Pavel promised to deliver them to Ukraine within a few weeks if the money could be found quickly.
A representative of the Ukrainian security forces confirmed Pavel’s information to NV about the availability of the shells, which would help cover the immediate needs of the Ukrainian military. The number of shells exceeds what the EU managed to supply to Ukraine all last year.
According to the source, these shells are planned to be delivered from South Korea and South Africa, and the cost of such a contract is approximately $2 billion.
