Human chain, concerts. Hundreds of People Celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day in Prague and Brno

The first of the events will be announced from 8 a.m. on Prague’s Wenceslas Square and in the city center, where the meeting will be organized by the “Evrosen-Baiterek” association, according to the public meetings announced on the On the website of the Municipality of Prague is expected up to five thousand people and the organizers expect a program until ten o’clock in the evening.

Natálie Veselá, a member of the association’s board of directors, told iDNES.cz: “We have a petition stand in Wenceslas Square and people are also cordially invited to a joint evening prayer for Ukraine, which will be held in Old Town Square from 7 a.m. take place. :00 o’clock.”

From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, there is a reported meeting at Boris Němcov Square in Prague 6, organized by the PROCOMA association, the event is on Wolkerova Street at the entrance of Stromovka. The organizers expect about a hundred people.

In the evening, a rap benefit for Ukraine takes place at the Cross club in Prague, and from 2 pm you can taste Ukrainian food at Manifesto na Anděl. A Ukrainian fair is held in Brno.

The event is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Prague Exhibition Center for the Palace of Industry in Prague 7. “As part of the program, Ukrainian artistic associations and bands Džerelo, OELJ, MarOLja with a long-standing tradition will perform in Prague. The artists will playing the Ukrainian folk instruments the sopilka and bandura, as well as Ukrainian folk dancing and singing.The evening will conclude with a performance by the well-known Ukrainian hip-hop band THMK (Dance on Maidan Kongo),’ the embassy said.
