Innovative Prague IV.
Prague is not only an amazing historical city with a wealth of monuments, excellent gastronomy, cordial residents, and a wide range of events. It is also a modern and innovative science hub. Prague excels in many fields, such as artificial intelligence and robotics, biomedicine, low-carbon technologies, data technologies and selected creative industries, providing ideal opportunities for holding conventions and conferences with the matching topics. In our new summary, you will find the most important things that have happened in these fields in connection with the meetings industry.
The Lunar Vicinity Complex Environmental Explorer (LVICE² – or “lioness 2” in English) project, which a consortium of Czech companies led by Prague-based esc Aerospace is developing, has successfully passed its first phase testing the feasibility of the entire mission by the European Space Agency (ESA). In the next phase, another Czech company, OHB Czechspace, will be involved in the preparation of the probe, which will design the principal construction of the probe. If the project passes through other phases, the spacecraft could be launched to the Moon in 2027. Its launch would also mean a huge success for the Czech space industry and the Czech Republic would rank among the countries that are able to explore the solar system thanks to their technological creations. You can read more about this project in the article on the Czech Academy of Sciences portal “Science and Research“.
Czech Scientists Contribute to Global Health Again
In just two years, the Czech academic start-up Sophomer has developed a unique technology that will make proving the presence of pathogens or antibodies in a organism easier and cheaper. The new technology will be used in biochemical laboratories, when detecting environmental contamination, in the food industry and in many other sectors. The transfer of this technology into practice is a prime example of the interconnection of science and industry. Details about the new technology can be found in the article of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
An international team of scientists, including the Czech members, has managed to find rare antibodies blocking all known variants of SARS-CoV-2 and of other human coronaviruses. Scientists have identified a total of 15 areas of coronaviruses that do not mutate at all and that can be targeted in the development of future vaccines and drugs and also in case if other coronavirus mutations emerge. The details are provided by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Data on the Agenda
It is not without reason that the present is referred to as the data age. The fact that we use data in everyday life projects in its application to everyday activities, such as checking the weather forecast in the morning. And it was a Czech forecast that has recently won an award at an international conference in New Orleans. Scientists specializing in artificial intelligence at the Faculty of Information Technology of the Czech Technical University in Prague have been able to predict precipitation in seven regions based on data collected over the past two years most accurately. The success of Czech scientists in the competition of another 10,000 experts from around the world has been reported by iRozhlas.cz.
If you are interested in topics such as AI, cyber security or robotization, you should definitely not miss the upcoming international conference World Data Congress 2023, which will take place on March 7 at the Martinic Palace at Prague Castle.
Effective Economic Management Courses
