It’s time to buy Christmas Eve carp

Thousands of carp are brought in from the fish farms every year to end up on the plate at Christmas dinner.

The rush is at its peak just before Christmas, and one stall can sell up to 900 kg daily. As well as killing them, sellers offer to skin and gut them so that people can prepare them without worry.
