IZRAELSKÉ DOBÝVÁNÍ MĚSÍCE NEKONČÍ: “PŘIPRAVUJEME MISI, KTERÁ NEMÁ OBDOBY”

Psal se 12. duben 2019, kdy Izrael prožíval den plný národní hrdosti. Právě v tento den totiž k Měsíci dorazila sonda Berešit a pokusila se na něm přistát. Pokud by se jí to podařilo, byl by po vesmírných velikánech USA, Číně a Rusku teprve čtvrtým národem na světě s tímto prvenstvím. Berešit bohužel přistání nezvládl, ale pro devítimilionový národ to byl přesto obří úspěch, z něhož těží doteď.

CzechCrunch hovořil se Šimonem Saridem, šéfem univerzitního spin-offu a neziskové organizace SpaceIL, jež za misí stojí, o dalších plánech.

ISRAEL’S ATTEMPT TO REACH THE MOON IS NOT OVER: “WE ARE PREPARING AN UNPRECEDENTED MISSION”

It was on April 12, 2019 when Israel was experiencing a day full of national pride. It was on this day that the Beresheet probe reached the Moon and attempted a landing. Had it succeeded, it would have made Israel only the fourth nation in the world to achieve this feat, after space giants the US, China and Russia. Unfortunately, Beresheet did not manage to land, however, it was nevertheless a huge success for the nation of nine million people and it still bears fruit now.

CzechCrunch spoke with Shimon Sarid, head of SpaceIL, an NGO behind the mission, about plans for the future.
