On Monday we will have Tu bi-švat holiday, known as the New Year of the Trees.
Although we still have a stiff winter, Tu Bi-Swat announces the arrival of spring in Israel. The trees are starting to wake up and the first ones, especially the fragrant almonds, are already blooming. It is also customary to plant new trees on this day.
