The Egyptian Armed Forces have officially announced the launch of the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow (EIAS 2026). The prestigious event is scheduled to take place from September 8–10, 2026, at El Alamein International Airport preceded by a high-level aerospace conference on September 7.
Organized under the auspices and robust support of the Egyptian Ministry of Defence, the Egyptian Air Force, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Egyptian Space Agency, and the national carrier EgyptAir, the exhibition aims to solidify Egypt’s position as a strategic regional hub, fostering global cooperation across the defense, commercial aviation, and space technology sectors.
Unprecedented Global Participation
According to official military statements, the upcoming edition is projected to achieve remarkable milestones, reflecting a significant leap in scale and international interest:
- Over 250 exhibitors representing 50 countries, including leading global aerospace and defense corporations.
- An estimated turnout of 12,000 trade visitors, industry experts, and global investors.
- The static and dynamic display of more than 100 cutting-edge military and civilian aircraft.
- Over 50 live aerial demonstrations showcasing elite piloting skills and advanced maneuvers over the skies of New Alamein City.
High-Profile Attendance
The opening ceremony is set to gather a distinguished assembly of international dignitaries, senior defense officials, and industry leaders. The lineup includes:
- Lieutenant General/ Amr Saqr – Commander of the Egyptian Air Force.
- Captain/ Sameh El Hefny – Minister of Civil Aviation.
- Dr. Maged Ismail – CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency.
- Senior Armed Forces commanders, accredited military and commercial attachés, and chief executives from prominent global aerospace firms.

Over the course of three days, EIAS 2026 will deliver an intensive agenda designed to bridge tactical defense capabilities with commercial enterprise.
