Jan Palach set himself on fire 55 years ago. He believed that he was rousing the Czechoslovak nation from the lethargy of the Soviet occupation.
He stood up to evil and paid the ultimate price. He showed that freedom is worth fighting for. We must never forget his sacrifice.
