The Romanian Embassy has organised the National Day of Romania on the 1^st December.   The 1^st December represents the anniversary of the unification of Transylvania,  Bessarabia,  Bukovina with the Romanian Kingdom, which happened exactly on the 1^st December 1918. The event has been celebrated at the prestigious Kaiserštejnský Palác in Mala Strana, in the heart of Prague. The palace has a rich history and takes its name from its first owner, who was a military commander.

The Ambassador of Romania, Her Excellency Antoaneta Barta, has welcomed the guests and offered a speech.  Besides other diplomats and Czech governmental officials, members of the Romanian community in the Czech Republic have also participated to the event.
