NATIONAL DAY OF SLOVENIA
On the 15th June, the Embassy of Slovenia has organized an evening reception in order to celebrate the National Day of Slovenia. The occurrence, which is actually scheduled for the 25th June, commemorates the declaration of independence of Slovenia occurred in 1991.
The official speeches has been delivered by H.E. Tanja Strniša, Ambassador of Slovenia in the Czech Republic and by Marek Havrda, Deputy Minister of European Affairs. The historical roots and the importance of the relationship between the two countries have been mentioned several times.
The reception has been attended by a number of diplomats, selected guests and has been accompanied by the offer of delicious Slovenian food and wine.
